Your portfolio company's $1M project is on fire.

We put it out before it becomes a capital loss.

We diagnose the bleed, stop it, and stabilize the project before it costs you carry.

The Real Risk

The project that costs you the deal isn't on the diligence checklist.

By the time a healthcare project failure shows up on your portfolio company's monthly board pack, it's already past the point where it can be quietly absorbed.

A $6M EHR implementation that slips by 8 months becomes $11M with vendor change orders, productivity loss during dual-system operation, and burnout-driven clinical staff turnover. An RCM transformation that misses go-live becomes a denial-rate spike that compresses EBITDA the quarter before exit. An M&A integration that quietly stalls becomes a buyer-side diligence finding that knocks 0.5x off the multiple.

These aren't operational hiccups. They're write-downs in slow motion. And the operators living inside them often can't see the failure pattern, because they're inside the project, not above it.

That's where we come in.

What we do

What we do, specifically.

We rescue failing healthcare projects. That's it. We don't do strategy decks, we don't do change management theater, and we don't do "transformation roadmaps." We diagnose, intervene, and stabilize.

Diagnose

We assess the project against six categories of failure, refined across 30+ years and 150+ rescues. In 30 days or less you have a written diagnosis that names what's actually broken, not the symptoms, the root causes, and what it will take to fix.

Intervene

We embed at the project level. Not as advisors with recommendations, but as operators with decision rights. We stop the bleeding: scope discipline, executive sponsorship, vendor accountability, team stabilization. Whatever the project actually needs, in the order it needs.

Stabilize

We hand it back to your team in better shape than we found it, with the discipline, governance, and operating cadence to keep it that way. We're not trying to become permanent. The exit is the point.

Who we work with

Not for everyone. Intentionally.

Who we work with

  • You're a private equity investor with a healthcare portfolio company sitting on a project that's behind, over budget, or quietly off the rails.
  • You're an operating partner whose portco CEO keeps reporting "yellow" status on a project you suspect is actually red.
  • You have a $1M+ project that, if it fails, will materially impact your portco's exit valuation, EBITDA at sale, or buyer-side diligence outcome.
  • You need an outside read from someone who has rescued projects exactly like this one before.

Who we don't work with

  • You need long-cycle strategy consulting or transformation roadmaps.
  • Your project is on track and you're looking for validation, not intervention.
  • You're seeking a firm that will produce decks. We produce outcomes.

A Confidential Portfolio Project Risk Brief.

No Charge · No Pitch · No Obligation

Send us your healthcare portfolio. We'll review it confidentially and send you back a written brief identifying the 2–3 portfolio companies most likely to be sitting on a project that becomes a $1M+ write-down inside the next 12 months, based on public signals, our pattern recognition, and 30 years of rescue experience.

We do this because if we're right about even one company in your portfolio, the conversation we have next is the only one that matters.

  • A written 8–12 page brief, delivered within 14 days.
  • Specific portfolio companies named, with the failure signals we're seeing.
  • A 30-minute follow-up call with Brian to discuss findings.

The Engagement

How an engagement actually works.

We embed at the project level with decision rights. We stop the bleeding, restore discipline, and execute against the recovery plan. Weekly partner-level reporting.

iii.

Stabilization

Final 2–4 weeks

We transition back to your team with documented governance, a 90-day operating cadence, and clear success criteria. Your team owns it from here.

iv.

Optional Retainer

As needed

Some engagements continue with a light advisory retainer to monitor stability through go-live or other major milestones.

Engagement scale

Typical engagements run 8–26 weeks. Investment: $50K–$250K depending on project size and intervention depth. Smaller engagements available for diligence and assessment-only work.
